twin peaks dvd sequence question

Just got the twin peaks special edition 1st season on DVD, and at the
beginning of the first episode, it says "previously on twin peaks" etc
etc... obviously, this is due to the pilot. Does this make sense? and if so,
did they ever put the pilot out on DVD? thanks

I believe that the pilot was only available on the European DVD release.
Its also available as a single DVD in the U.S., which you can still get
from Amazon, blackstar etc.
