He was average at best in Gilbert grape. Everything else has been a
travesty. I vote Steve Martin. >> Stay informed about: most wasted talent in cinema |

Rutger Hauer. He rocked in Bladerunner but it's been mostly
direct-to-video stuff since then.
Eric Roberts. Remember when he used to be the "hot" up-and-coming bad
boy, sort of an '80s DeNiro? Where the hell did he go? >> Stay informed about: most wasted talent in cinema |

I thought after THESE movies they would rise to fame
Bill Pullman - Independence Day
Loren Dean - Billy Bathgate

Check the IMDb. He's made a huge number of movies. But
The Pope of Greenwich Village seems to have been his most
notable. I thought he was great in Raggedy Man, which was
Henry Thomas's first movie, before E.T.
His sister's fame eclipsed his, unfortunately.

Eric ("He's-Julia's-Brother") Roberts had (has?) a serious drinking
problem and sexual orientation issues. Hope he's worked them out by
now. He was certainly talented.

I don't know any gossip about him. He is a regular the TV series "Less Than
Perfect" (2002), which probably tells us something about his career.

Hal Ashby. He made some great movies, but bottomed out a lot faster
than he should have.
